Therapy isn’t the same for everyone.
I am passionate about offering clients an inclusive, authentic, and calming environment for my clients to process and express their feelings or difficult life occurrences in order to learn more about themselves. My primary focus is building a trusting, well-rounded relationship with my clients and fully recognizing them as individuals. My overall goal is to work with clients to create specific and attainable goals to assist in making the changes they desire to improve their overall quality of life.
I am a licensed independent social worker in the state of Iowa. I attended the University of Northern Iowa for my undergraduate degree and the University of Iowa for my graduate degree. I have additional training in parent child interaction therapy, play therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy.
I am married to another social worker and we have the best, and cuddliest, rescued pitbull named Alvin. I love to cook, bake, read, watch netflix, listen to music and podcasts, travel, try new restaurants, spend time with friends and family, and spoil our sweet dog.
I firmly believe that therapy is a space for everyone. We all could use a non-judgmental, safe space to express our feelings and process difficult situations. I discover my best self when I am consistently taking time to see my own therapist and I hope you will take the time to see the amazing things therapy can do for you!
